Bonnie McKee's sophomore album including "American Girl" and "S.L.A.Y."
2NE1's English debut album and their Korean 'All Or Nothing' record.
Loreen's sophomore album including "Paper Light" and "I'm In It With You"
BIGBANG's 'MADE' album (ok, we got like the majority of the record but still)
Two Semi Precious Weapons' album got kinda scrapped before they managed to get 'Aviation' out and also the album that was supposed to be a follow up. So three albums in total.
Spice Girls' third album before Geri left.
Amelia Lily's two debut records 'Be A Fighter' and 'Fingerprints'
Btw can you tell me more about that Marina's 'Die Life' scrapped album? Never heard about it

Die Life was supposed to be her second album, she was going to release under the name of Electra Heart. Not much is known about it, except it was supposed to be more edgier than the pop record we got. Songs likely recorded for it include Miss Y, Like the Other Girls and The Other Foot. The unleaked track Net Curtains was also a contender, along with Free Sex (which was likely the title of the Sex, Yeah! demos that were reworked onto EH)

Gwen's original comeback before TIWTTFL was supposed to be a Charli-XCX type of album. Some of the demos have leaked on to YouTube and they're.... interesting. Baby Don't Lie and Spark the Fire were originally on there as well.
5H's EP was originally an album, but they cut it into 7 songs and then when it came time to work on the studio album, their A&R at the time, Candace, suggested they try a different sound and then Reflection was born.

As HEARTCORE said, it was originally Marina's second album. The album title is a play on words, as the die Life is German for The Life. It was assumed the album was about becoming famous and the dark side of it as well. She was working on die Life as her main album and Electra Heart was the original side project. She presented the label with both ideas and the label, seeing the potential of her going pop, made her scrap die Life and move forward with Electra Heart as her second album. It included (or was rumored to include): Miss Y, Net Curtains, Scab and Plaster, Like The Other Girls, Free Sex (which may or may not have been turned into Sex Yeah!), Living Dead, Power & Control, The Other Foot (which became Just Desserts with Charli XCX), Jealousy, Fear and Loathing, and several others. It was rumored there was a track titled die Life as well since all her albums have a title track as well.
But, luckily we got some of those songs put onto Electra Heart (after being re-produced of course).

The original Bionic tbh. The label made her rerecord and go back to the studio which resulted in all the pop tracks that didn't fit.

Fifth Harmony's Reflection and 7/27 were originally intended to be a bit different than what we have.
Their intended debut was basically an extension of their EP, called "Drown on Solid Ground" or "Fifth Harmony" (we never got confirmation of which was the actual title.) The album was going to have songs like "Tellin' Me," "Drown on Solid Ground," "Miss Movin' On," etc. It was scrapped after the EP didn't skyrocket like they had hoped, and that's when their A&R at the time proposed a "Destiny's Child-like image" and then...
They recorded a lot of R&B-inspired songs for Reflection like "Who Can I Run 2," "No Filter," "Boyfriend," "No Way," (the original version) "Talk to Me," and a few more. Then Meghan came along and gave them "Sledgehammer," "Suga Mama," and "Brave Honest Beautiful." – they also weren't originally going to include "Body Rock" until the very last minute either, they were going to pick a different song they had worked on with Harmony Samuels instead.
For 7/27, "Write On Me," "Scared of Happy," and "Squeeze" were last minute additions. They had worked with The Rascals in a few sessions and had songs like "Sensitive," "Voicemail," "Big Bad Wolf," and "1000 Hands" which were all intended to make the U.S. standard/deluxe edition instead of the random releases and leaks they got instead. They were also aiming high with features and were almost in talks of a Big Sean feature, not sure if the song was released or not but they never got the collab to work out. "No Way" is also not the original version. The beat was reworked but not the lyrics. There's also a song called "Bonnies," which we have no clue what it sounds like, but it was a Julia Michaels / Justin Tranter collaboration.
The original intention with 7/27 was an R&B-Pop album that they didn't quite get with Reflection.

Lana's original Ultraviolence. The album was supposed to be very stripped back. She started with Black Beauty in early 2013 along with tracks like Angels Forever, Forever Angels but then they all leaked and also Summertime Sadness was so big and she wasn't very happy with the songs she wrote so she scrapped the whole thing.
She started working on UV in December by herself and was done but then she again changed the whole thing with Dan Auerbach and thank god we got Ultraviolence.

The second album instead turned out to be a dance pop album (Heartbreak On Hold) due to her getting dropped by the US record label and losing all the R&B tracks she recorded with them. It was something along those lines.

Alexandra Burke actually has three scrapped albums.
She's the British version of Nicole Scherzinger
The tragic timeline of it all
Overcome (US Version), 2010 - the lead single was supposed to be All Night Long (feat. Pitbull). They sent it to US radio adds back in 2010 but quickly pulled it for unknown reasons. Epic was going through a restructure at the time, so I think they scrapped the US version and quietly dropped her from the US roster. She also had a production deal with Roc Nation at that time (thanks to Beyoncé) but I don't think they were involved with the US version. Instead they reused some of the tracks she recorded (Start Without You, What Happens On The Dancefloor) for a repackage of Overcome in the UK in 2010.
Untitled 2nd Album (with Syco), 2010/2011 - this album is interesting because she was working with some good producers, She began working on it in late 2010. Rico Love was involved and he accidentally played a long snippet of a track during a UStream for fans. He said on that stream that there would be a "strong push" in the US market with this album. The album was rumored to feature Usher who was pictured in the studio with her at one point and she also allegedly recorded "Club Can't Handle Me" with David Guetta before Nicole did, and was rumored to have another David Guetta song on her own album. She reunited with Stargate and RedOne. Most interestingly, she recorded "Don't Wake Me Up" produced by Benny Benassi, which at the time had been rejected by Madonna. When she transferred over to RCA, they changed her direction massively away from R&B and handed over that song to her then labelmate Chris Brown. Shortly before her transfer to RCA, she recorded a collaboration with Swizz Beatz (who produced Fancy by Drake) called "Show Off" and just after the transfer she recorded a dance collaboration with Pitbull for his album, called "Shots For The DJ". A snippet leaked online. Both songs were unfortunately shelved for unknown reasons. She also recorded a cover of Live and Let Die for X Factor USA (used on the 2012 series) during this time. Very recently the song "Call Myself A Liar" leaked, which was from these sessions. She also had a song with Priscilla Renea (who wrote Rihanna's California King Bed) called "Drink You Down". The album was shelved indefinitely and she began recording for Heartbreak on Hold instead.
Untitled 3rd Album, US release, 2013 - After she left RCA, she signed a US management deal and began mysteriously working on an album. She began recording with high profile producers and began preparations for a US release. She had a debut showcase in NYC which she worked on with Beyoncé's choreographer Jaquel Knight and she appeared at Hot 97 Summer Jam. She even purchased an apartment in NYC to stay in while she finished the album and prepared to launch in the US. It seemed promising but then the album was scrapped, yet again for unknown reasons. She previewed two songs "No More You" and "Shine" which were supposed to be on the album. This year a song called "High Off Love" leaked from these sessions. She subsequently left her US management company for unknown reasons and I think the project died after this.
Untitled 3rd Album, 2013/2014 - Following the drama of yet another failed US launch, she began promising a 3rd album again. She released an EP and an iTunes only single called "Where Do Hearts Go" but both of them flopped. She began recording some Afrobeats music and appeared on the final of X Factor Africa, but she had a public spat with Afrobeats artist May7ven when Alex claimed that she stole her vocals without her permission for a song. Their collaboration was then scrapped. She came back to the UK and began working on an album at her home studio as an independent artist but to date it has never appeared.
She has since signed on to theatre shows, doing The Bodyguard and now Sister Act. There is no date for a 3rd album 4 years on from when she first began talking about it.
It's a terrible story because Alex could have been a very successful international act but Syco screwed her over massively and her career spiralled from there. I hope all the music leaks one day.

Really no one about Amelia Lily and her two shelved albums? Her debut, Be A Fighter was even pressed on cds already and they just didn't release it because second and third singles weren't as big as You Bring Me Joy. We got nearly all tracks from standard edition by now, we're missing only 3 tracks.
Her second album, Fingerprints, which was led by California was also shelved cause of poor result of California on the charts. We got 4 tracks by now.

Wow all these tragic stories, some of these albums sound amazing.
Had no clue there were so many scrapped by high profile artists.
For my faves:
Original version of Pink Friday, lead single was called 'Married In The Club'.
No clue how much was scrapped and how much ended up on what was eventually released but given that MITC was set for a 2009 release, Massive Attack flopped and Your Love started gaining traction (it was originally just a leaked Beam Me Up Scotty Demo), i'm presuming a lot changed.
Mariah has Angel's Advocate (Memoirs remix album). A track listing leaked though it was never confirmed, presumably it was real because a lot of these songs ended up leaked/released. It got shelved after Memoirs flopped, it had remixes of the album tracks as well as four new songs, 100%, That's A Smash, Call Me Now and Imperfect. Imperfect leaked and 100% was released as a song for the Winter Olympics. The remixes for It's A Wrap & Betcha Gon' Know were included on Me. I Am Mariah as deluxe tracks.
Me. I Am Mariah was also changed a lot. The original lead single, Triumphant, came in 2012 but it flopped so they scrapped it. She said it was pretty much finished in March 2013 but a lot of the albums' tracks were recorded after that so presumably a good chunk of it was scrapped. She also said there would be two covers on the album but only one (One More Try) ended up on it. Beautiful was a hit but then she injured herself on the set of the Remix video. An ATRLer actually leaked the original release date (July 19th 2013) and title (The Art of Letting Go) from some info sent out to Target stores. The album had already been pushed back by then but this indicates she had a full album ready to go before she started work on a lot of the songs that were eventually released.
Anyway a couple flop singles & a billion pushbacks later, it was released as 'Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse' in May 2014.
