I hate when people think you may be stuck up or in a bad mood because you don't speak. I wish it was easier for people to just know that you're socially awkward and stuff

People used to think I had no emotions, and called me robot back in school. I kind of liked it, as it meant that they left me alone. But when I was ready to communicate with someone, it made it that much more awkward.

I might have the male equivalent of resting bitch face though. Some random lady on the street said that I should smile.

I love to use my introvert tendencies to filter people out, but I haven't learnt how to switch it off when I want to actually let someone in. Thankfully, most of my friends are also introverts so we somehow managed it. But it's a problem in other areas

I went to the Kesha concert on Saturday and while I waiting for her to come out to meet fans, this guy DM'd me on Twitter. We were DMing about Kesha and it turns out he was waiting to meet her with me. I looked at his photos and instantly feel head over heels cause this guy was literally my GOALS (nice nerdy kid, aspiring director, thick ass eyebrows, beautiful eyes, etc). We just kept messaging each other and he was like saying I looked super fine in my clothes and I was saying the same to him. He came over by me trying to initiate a conversation but I was too nervous and anxious so I just stared at him and he stared at me. Then, he just kinda awkwardly walked away and we resumed DMing. He came over several times (we stood in line for 3 hours waiting for her) and every time neither of us would say anything in person.

It ****ing sucks to be introverted in situations like this when you want to hardcore makeout with the guy.

I'm introverted too, and what sucks is that I actually really do want to be able to socialize and have friends, but it's hard because I feel awkward and really shy in social situations. I'm conflicted

Oh, I know I have resting bitch face.

I do it on purpose. People tend to not bother me when they see a certain look on my face. And I like it that way. I also always have my headphones with me. The best way to keep people from trying to hold a conversation with me is to put my headphones in, whether I'm listening to something or not.
