She’s already opened up for The Jonas Brothers and Britney Spears, and now American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is launching her own tour in support of her poorly-selling sophomore album Battlefield.
The “Battlefield Tour” kicks off in April in New Jersey and will see the 20-year-old performing in ballrooms and theaters across America, with a possibility of international dates being added down the line. I really liked Jordin’s Battlefield album and I love her as a person, but to say that it’s suffered from the dreaded sophomore slump would be the understatement of the century. As of February it’s only sold about 162k in the US, but it did spawn a moderate hit single with the title track.
Besides touring Jordin is currently working on a few acting projects, as well as possibly working on her next album after Jesse McCartney revealed in an interview that he had sent several songs over to the singer to record.
