Video Games: 5 years since the last Multiplayer Sims and Story Mode.

Lets remember the best version of The Sims 3 to exist.

Especially the 3DS version, where you can enter each others games and play together.
The closest sequel to The Sims online that we have

At least EA can't switch it off.

The console version has a Story Mode like the old school games, and the 3DS has the online capabilities.

And both have extremely good Freeplay.

Never played the 3DS version but I never really cared for pets in TS3. I liked the horse riding tournaments though

TBH I play Pets on 3DS and didn't make any Pet

Just Sims.
It's like having the PC game in your pocket in some ways, which is kind of cool.

The weird part is, even though the Sims 3 on DS and Wii are Open World, Sims 3 games on 3DS, Xbox and PlayStation aren't, even though they are all much more powerful.

It's extremely confusing why EA would give the weaker consoles Open World and the stronger consoles closed world

The closed world Sims games are much better, and the Open World ones are a hot mess anyway

That's exclusive to the console version. The Mystery Journal sends you out on these quests. It's a directed gameplay experience for the newer Sims audience that exists on console. When they finish those quests, they are introduced to the traditional sandbox elements of the game and all the different stuff they can do with the Sims.

Basically, you start a new game and complete the Mystery Journal, which is Story Mode.
Once the Journal is Complete, and you've finished all the goals, you can play Freeplay.

Otherwise, you can't unlock all the lots and you're limited to like 2 houses ( I think) to live in.

Considering the game was cheaper than The Sims 3 base game, it has SO much stuff in it for the price

Console players get it so good in The Sims, they sometimes even get Seasons and/or Weather for free, while PC players have to pay an extra $40.
