Discussion: Should the US let refugees in?

Some, like Clinton argue that 65k should be admitted, some argue that none should be, some stick with 10k.

Your thoughts? Any fourth options?

a limited number, they should have a through process to make sure the refugees coming in are safe and can adapt to western culture

This, and they SHOULD assimilate western culture. But I always kii @ these tiny numbers like 10k or 65k getting people to do demonstrations while countries like Lebanon and Turkey have let over a million in. Especially since the US partly created this mess.

My country's population is 8M and we have like 60k refugees. This definitely isn't a great experience for the people who live around them. The refugees are not having a their best lives as well (or do they?) but there are many organizations who are helping them.
In short, having refugees in your country is not easy, but if my country could handle it the US can too.

Just make sure you spread them all over the country so new ghettos won't be established and radicalism would be avoided.

This is different for countries with culture and religion that are similar to the refugees' origins where they can integrate quickly.
