I've heard excellent things about Madrid.
I dated a guy from Paris, and he said their scene SUCKED.
I also heard great things about Berlin, but I had no idea it was that level of amazing (judging from these responses). I'm adding it to my list.

Is it really that bad, or are you just tired of it?

I've actually been debating between whether I should go to Madrid or Barcelona next summer. I'd love to go to both but I'm not sure if I really have the money to do that

The gay scene isn't my selling point but I really have to ask why you girls think Madrid is better than Barcelona in that sense? I thought Barcelona would've been the winner since they have that huge gay resort town not far from it

Barcellona is full of gay guys even if you don't go specifically to gay parties or discos, there are a lot of gay bars and discos by the way and a gay area with shops-bars, I don't know if Madrid is better when it comes to gay life but Barcellona is an amazing city, I've been there one month ago, there's the beach, shops, mountains, arts, good food, there is a lot of choice to things to do, and yes near the city, I think 1 hour of train, there's a beach town called Sitges full of gay people...
Honestly I think that both Madrid and Barcelona are a win whatever the choice is because they're 2 amazing cities

If you have to choose between one, Barcelona. Madrid is great and charming but its more urban and in the center of the country while Barcelona has the metropolitan feel but you can still escape to the mountains or the beach, Barcelona really has it all.
