We could argue about this all day because it's very subjective. All the stuff you said about "different time" is utter BS because nobody has a problem comparing artists from the '80s/'90s to artists of today under any other circumstances.

Beyoncé, like Michael is a worldwide star. She can go to india, australia, the uk, south america, china, etc., and still be swarmed by sold out audiences and adoring fans. In my opinion, they are the only one's that have such an impact, real and lasting star power.
