Has it really been half a decade since Gaga was popular? Gosh time flies... if she would have kept up maybe but half a decade of flops and failures...
At least Rihanna and her team played it well, made her album look like it was a decent success, snatched a #1 single and bargained for an award even though the VMA's usually pay her dust...
Her TF era videos were cute, but the Paparazzi-Alejandro videos are really something remarkable. Her BTW videos, however, are all kind of poorly executed and messy. The ARTPOP videos are def better, but there were only 2 and they were both just okay. GUY could've been better imo without all the cringey pop culture references.
But she doesn't even have 20 music videos, no she doesn't deserve it yet.
Neither Rihanna nor Gaga deserve this award. Rihanna has no iconic MVs, Gaga hasnt had a good video since Judas(?)/Telephone, that was like 5-6 years ago.
