I bought the complete Orange series after reading some very positive reviews and holy s***
Tbh, I have literally never cried reading anything, including my favorite books, but the first volume already got me. Just finished the second of the 5 books.
Lemme finish this read so I can follow the anime episodes as they air Are they as good as the manga? I saw some snippets of it and it looks deadly GORGEOUS.
It's good! The direction is very interesting and "artsy" with the use of framing techniques, montages, and transitions. The first 4 episodes are the first 4 chapters, with the rest of the episodes containing 2 chapters each. So the show might start out slow, but it's better getting better and better. The manga was a quick read for me, but they milk every scene in the show with varying results. But I like it a lot, it's hitting all of the right beats and the actors are on point.

nnnnn
They used a bit too many still shots. What I love though are the ambient noises in the show. Coupled that with the guitar, it gives off this longing nostalgic atmosphere.
Kimi ni Todoke is frustrating I just want to smack Kazehaya and Sawako, like just say what is on your mind! She always screws up the simplest conversations like jesus christ. High schoolers are not this clueless
Also Ryu
I dont know why I'm in the mood for romance anime all of a sudden.
Good lord, I'm having flashbacks. The first season was cute, but that second season was unbearable. I actually like Sawako, she's very sweet and sadly I can relate to her crippling shyness and social anxiety. But Season 2 took the both of them to an entirely new level of dense, it was exhausting to sit through.
I've decided to leave Re:Zero for later (it hasn't finished yet, right?) and I've started Sword Art Online
The concept is cool
This is the worst decision youve made in your entire life. But if you really want to see SAO, then just watch season 1 and pretend the other seasons doesnt exist.
RE:Zero will give u a job + a boyfriend. 100% guaranteed
Since I posted that comment I've watched like 4 episodes and... I'm lost. everything changes from one episode to another and it feels like I've missed a few episodes.
Going back to my original plans, about to watch Re:Zero
