I think she needs "Alejandro" because "Monster" is so similar to the rest of everything else she's put out. Releasing "Alejandro" keeps it more fresh and new for GaGa, IMO.
but alejandro is perfect for the europe and the summer
Yeah!! It totally has that sort of summer vibe to it!! I mean I LOVE the song and its similarities to ABBA/Ace of Base/Madonna, but I think that the US wouldn't be that accepting of it.

Yeah, from her fan's standpoints, that makes complete sense. I would LOVE to see it as a single...but in reality US buyers like the typical type of stuff like Monster that she releases. But even so, ANY GaGa song is out of the ordinary!!
May - August: Alejandro
August - October : Monster
October - December : So Happy I Could Die
December - February : Dance In the Dark (to end the era)
Then she'll release her new album Holiday 2011
Heck, she should just release the entire TFM album!
Well, what about the rumors that she is going to release a new album this year? If so, I think we might see a lead single around the same time as Bad Romance.
You are so boring with complaining about "Alejandro" and that it'll flop. The same thing people said about "Paparazzi" but it surprised everyone with its chart run. Chill out!

That's exactly how I feel, I also think Alejandro will have a better chart run.

^ Alejandro will be a surprise hit. I think it will grow on people a lot
I definitely think it is going to be a hit, but I think it is unrealistic to expect any of the future singles from TFM to be #1's. Lead singles from albums have the best chance to go to number 1, unfortunately they messed up with the release of Bad Romance. It would have been number 1 had they been smart about it.
I'm not surprised by Telephone's disappointing sales. I said it was disappointing months ago and was told "wait until the video idiot" -- who's looking dumb now?

Is that directed at me? I never called you an idiot.
Is something wrong with Itunes? I dont get it, the video effect for Bad Romance was almost immediate and Telephone has been getting way more hits and publicity than that got..

The video is being ignored by many stations right now due to the length and explicity, hopefully that changes with the short edit soon. Plus the Bad Romance video had no interruptions to the song so it did a better job selling it, as well as the fact it had many performances.
Not that it will go to #1, seen as it's already sold a million and comes from a 2 million selling album.
