I live in vegas and work for an agency who hire illegals and urban youths who just came out of jail who setup for conventions for casino's. Its entirely a mess. My coworkers are overworked including me. Some of them recently have came from a foreign country illegally (cuba , colombia and most latin countries) and are working 12+ hours with no sleep. After you don't sleep, working graveyard, getting paid mininum wage and working with ex cons you just don't give a fly. And a lot of thing's can happen with that kind of mixture.
Ehh my job is kinda a mess but not as much as the OP's.
We're so short staffed that management is hiring just about anyone who applies. They usually are given a drug test and we get the results back in a week but they are starting off the new people off the day after they take the test or sometimes the day of. Because of this, they hired a "friend" from one of the current staff memebers and that friend is basically homeless. Mind you there is nothing wrong with that but he lied about having experience with the position and he comes back in at night to sleep in the break room. He also walks around being all mighty, keeping an eye on the females making sure they are following the rules and acting like their boss. Not to mention he snitches whenever it benefits him. He also has made up a lot of stuff to get staff members in trouble. His attitude really puts people off and he can get very annoying. He has never tried it with me. He does help me out but I do make sure not to get too friendly with him.
I work at Deja Vu strip club in Hollywood as a waiter and lordT the club smells like ***, cigarettes and piss. I only got the job cause my friend hooked it up, she dances at the club, the tips are lit tbh
The job/store isn't but the people that work there fulltime have all kind of failed at life.
They came to Amsterdam with big dreams and are now just 30 yo's working in retail so I can't blame them.
Like this one girl is always scammed cause she wants to be on TV really badly so she'll spend $1000 on a cursus on 'how to present a show' and I'm like... c'mon now sis.
Or this other guy is always having relationships with girls that last 2 weeks max, he was dating some Turkish girl he met in the store and after 2 dates he bought an engagement ring and asked her to get married only to break up over text the next week.
And this other gay guy is always lying to everyone, he's approaching his 30's but this one time I heard him curse at his mom over the phone for not giving him any money calling her a '*****' and whatnot. He also joined me to go to a festival with his date he had been going out with for a week and when we were there he ****ed some other guy and his date was heartbroken so we had to take care of him. Just too much.
I don't think it's messy. It's very shaky in terms of money and making appointments. Luckily my boss is pretty stringent when it comes to guidelines, so hopefully no more last-minute slide-ins.
My job is such a mess. I work at like an antique store type place and idk what any of the items are and people ask me these random questions that idk the answers to so I usually make them up. Also there are no prices on anything so idk how much anything costs and have to call my boss whenever anyone wants to buy anything which is extremely counter productive
