Every major popgirl we have can easily be compared to a legendary popgirl...except for Beyonce. In fact a lot of modern popgirls copy her. The closest comparison of a past popgirl to Bey is Diana Ross and even then Bey can out dance, out perform and out sing Diana even in her peak days and both served very different music and visuals.

So why is it that Beyonce is just so non comparable? Did she really create her own lane among pop diva legends? Is she basically making a new blue print for future and current popgirls to follow the same way Madonna, Janet, Mariah and Whitney did?

She's one of a kind. Honestly she's artistically more comparable to Michael Jackson than any female singer ever.

Not really. The only thing they share is their intense choreography and meaningful messages in their music. Bey is a vocalist where as janet was not and never branded herself as such. Bey's music was/is also significantly much more different and their performance style is different. Janet had a militaristic perfectionist type of stage presence where as Bey's stage presence is much more fluid and gives off an "empress/ruler" vibe. She commands the stage like it's her home and throne and sometimes her stuff does not even feel super rehearsed. It's just she exudes natural command over her audience. It's insane!

Peak Britney (1998-2005) can be compared to Janet in choreo style and Rih is comparable to Janet in terms of aesthetics, musical vibe and visuals to an extent.

She's very comparable. She draws inspiration from many different types of artists from previous generations whom she respects and admires.

I guess what is most admirable about her and what sets her a part is her work ethic. She works really hard, it's incredibly disciplined and don't get comfortable. These so-called 'divas' usually get lazy and have an entitled attitude. You never see it with Beyoncé because she is a true professional.

She has limbs and pieces of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Madonna. What makes her so incomparable is the fact that no other artist is embodies these legends the way that she does. She as essentially aligned herself with these legends by learning from them and make it BEYONCE.

Anyone can look at Beyonce and see shes straight from the house of classic Diana Ross and Tina Turner...

Not only is Beyonce Tina-esque in her movements but even in dress and style. Beyonce brings her own flavor of course but one can easily draw comparisons.

I guess they way you put it makes sense, but I always feel like a lot of people compare them solely because they both dance. But you're right in that Britney and Janet are a lot more technical and sharp in their dancing, whereas Beyonce is more "natural" in a way.

Queen is a flawless blend of Micheal Jackson,Tina Turner, mixed with some of that Houston trap creol Texas bama and a little sprinkle of Barbra Streisand,a taste of Janet Jackson and a touch of Diana Ross. There you go

I think even the Diana comparison is not matchable. it's really difficult trying ot put a finger on who could be compared to Beyonce. But now that some mentioned Tina I can actually see that! Tina Turner's stage presence and general staging can be compared to Bey's (to an extent)!
