No LGBT person who goes to Dubai or any country in the Middle East deserves this, but unfortunately it won't change, I don't understand why they won't change their laws, I mean it's 2016 for Christ's sake. The thing is if Gigi was allowed into Dubai, she would have got a more severe punishment, I hope their laws change some day but it will never happen.

yeah the middle east has a very long way to go when it comes to lgbtq right and women's rights...tho they are verrryyyy slowly getting better in SOME countries. It will take a long time for them to get to Western standards but that is the effect of strict religious rules. Colonization and extreme religious devotion literally set countries back by centuries unfortunately. I mean take a look at any religious country or any country that has been colonized...it's just the pits and it's frustrating but it is what it is i suppose :/

I agree. Aside from a flight layover, there is no reason to go there and fund their economies. Those countries are pure filth.
