Hello, Little Scheisses, and welcome to another edition of Gaga's Masterpiece Theatre. I'm your host, GarageGlamorous.
Today we will be looking at a track that was not always considered highly, but has recently developed a cult following. I, for one, loved it from first listen, and would include it in my personal Top 5 overall Gaga tracks.
#9
"Black Jesus † Amen Fashion" Born This Way
Gaga Essentials: #47
As I said, the song was not an early favorite. Many found its cumbersome title tacky, try-hard, or a combination of both. Others criticized its autobiographical lyrics and bizarre production. These are what automatically turned me on to the song in the first place. It is indeed a personal song for Gaga, and like album-mate "Marry The Night", it has its share of wordy and rambling lyrics. But, also like the aforementioned song, Gaga delivers the lines with such confidence and bad-assery that's infectious. The vocal delivery is punctuated by a continuous slamming bassline that wouldn't feel out of place on the very runways of which the song dotes over. At least one prominent fashion designer agreed - a remix of the song was used for Thierry Mugler's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. My personal favorite part of the song is the chorus, where the production quickly shifts from a throbbing bassline to light and airy synths that wouldn't be out of place on an early Whitney Houston or Paula Abdul record. This juxtaposition helps the entire song feel ethereal and makes for one of the stand-out instrumentals in her career thusfar.
Join us tomorrow, when we will discuss either "Money Honey", "Teeth", "Bloody Mary", "ARTPOP", or "Firefly". Toodles!

Not too much on the poor sis It's pretty easy to distinguish his 'RATE' posts so if you have a problem with them just skip right past them :x It's just fun.

I know, but it's slowly sinking in that I've grown tired of quite a few of her songs cuz her discography is going dated and she distanced herself too much from her own catalogue, she's done nothing but flawless tributes and jazz covers, it all feels like a different Gaga, I need her to come back so it'll all make sense again
