MESS. marvin gaye family is going to be set with these coins. I was watching clever news and I heard he's being sued for his song photograph too. that songs melody is literally copied and pasted
It uses similar chord progressions but you can't sue over chord progressions because they are only so many progression and they are used all the time. You can sue for melody though but they have totally different melodies. I remember looking into it when I first got into music production. I think it is only the us copywrite's website. I think marvins family is just sueing for anything because they must be running out of money. If anything it TOL sounds like a slowed down version of John Mayers waiting on the world to change. But their family didn't go after John too lol. Nor did John go after Ed in fact didn't they collab those two songs at the Grammies lol
I do think Ed should be sued for photographs because if I remember those melodies sound similar. So I think they guy might have a case
