U.S. and no. The fact is that the we have a very high unemployment rate (the 5% given out is very misleading, as it doesn't include the long term unemployed.) and not enough well paying jobs for the people already in this country.

Having too many people is going to lower the standard of living as resources and tax dollars are spread thin. If we accept uncontrolled numbers of refugees, those of us who pay taxes will have to foot the bill to accommodate these people.

If we are to take in any more, we should prioritize Christian and Jewish refugees who are in the most danger, not the muslims who hate western culture.

Refugees aren't always fleeing violence. Hurricanes, famines, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions etc.
