What a lame excuse the original clearly didn't have a story line but why does that matter? The only thing I would change about the original is the part where it looks like G-Eazy is ****ing her while delivering his verse.
Well it obviously wasn't as obvious and emphasised, because I didn't even realise. Because for the second video, I couldn't even blink without seeing Britney deciding her lips need moisturising and put on her EOS in slow motion
The storyline thing is an excuse. Both versions really don't have a storyline. They simply wanted to not risk the song performance with that video (although it's getting worse).
