Sorry but it was granted! You can't be upset that you don't like the reviews after the extension considering it was fairly granted.

How are extensions unfair? A written agreement is a written agreement. Nobody forced an extension to be introduced, but one was, and that's that. Let's not act like there wouldn't be complaints even if all of the Rise reviews came through during the original timeframe. The "problem" isn't that they came after the extension, it's that they're "too high" for your liking. But that's not a good enough reason to disqualify them.
There's a very big difference between making use of an extended deadline and ignoring reviews because the scores aren't what you wanted.

Something is super shady about the sudden surge of negative ratings toward MM but Mods have the authority on this action, so we'll see.

This isn't the first time they extended a deadline.
When Formation was released, the Navy came in and gave it low scores, I didn't see anyone complain. This is ATRL!!
Also metacritic has countless very biased reviews and scores. Everything should be counted.

As far as I can see, the only ones being immature are those complaining about legitimate, well-written reviews (and trying to get them discredited) just because you don't agree with the scores. That's how reviews work; some you're going to agree with, some you're not. I personally don't agree with scores of 2, 4.3, 5 and 6.5 for Rise but I haven't (and none of the others scoring Rise favourably) have complained about others' scores. The only ones complaining either scored low or didn't score at all.
Last time I checked, atrlcritic is open to all members of ATRL. I see no fair reason why Katy fans can't review a Katy song and have their scores count. Is it in the rules that this cannot happen? No. Katy's fans boosted Rise's total atrlcritic reviews from an "unofficial" 2 reviews (according to atrlcritic rules) to a much more respectable sample size of 15, and brought new life into this section that otherwise would not have been here.
A deadline extension was granted. Revoking the extension and only counting reviews made prior to said deadline because the scores aren't reflective of your personal opinion is in poor taste. Ignoring reviews that adhere to the very specific rules as stipulated in the OP shows bias and doesn't make me wish to review with atrlcritic again.
Just my two cents.
As far as upcoming reviews, my suggestions would be:
Britney Spears – "Private Show"
DJ Snake – "Let Me Love You (ft. Justin Bieber)"
Major Lazer – "Cold Water (ft. Justin Bieber & MØ)"
The Chainsmokers – "Closer (ft. Halsey)"

now this is a good review of this empty stinky section of atrl

Exactly
I legitimately believe Rise is a 10/10 and I gave an 80+ word review on it so I'm not sure why my review wouldn't be counted? And for a mod of all people to suggest it

Ya. The bias is too strong here.
A lot of stans give their faves music higher scores. It's not their fault there aren't many neutral bystanders to affect the curves of the scores.
Those reviews are legitimate and count worthy considering people took time out and put paragraphs of effort into them.

Also, Rise is an objectively good song. So it'd make more sense to discount any scores below 6.

Some Kats are embarrassing. The way they rate Make Me... just to level it down. Plus they gave Rise a perfect score. A perfect score?! Haha. I'm a Britney stan but I wouldn't dare to give it a a perfect score.

I've always tried to resolve disputes in this thread in an amicable and timely manner. In retrospect, I should not have elected to delay the scores for Rise and Make Me... to tonight, because it just escalated the tensions here. But I was receiving lots of input from different people on how to handle this situation, and I wanted to at least take time to consider everyone's perspectives.
Let me be clear that I appreciate every review in this thread, no matter who wrote it. I understand that many people believe that the influx of reviews Friday and yesterday were insincere and meant to troll. For nearly two years, I have tried my best to remain neutral with regards to the content posted here, and today is no exception. Thus, instead of fanning the flames further and counting scores based on a personal opinion of the matter, I have elected simply to count all scores as I normally do.
This is the last thread where I want to see stan wars being waged. Its purpose is to function as a place where people passionate about music can write about music. My scoring process distinguishes between "unofficial" and "official" scores, but let's be honest; nothing important is riding on these scores. This should not have been a huge deal, and I apologize that it turned into one. I am confident that everyone can quickly move this incident into the rear-view mirror and we can continue discussing music in a civil manner.
I appreciate your understanding.

there is no "issue" here, you're clearly downcast by the Make Me reviews but nothing that any of the ATRL members wrote in them isn't something that hasn't been said about it by every non Britney stan
And what was written is completely well within the rules of the thread.
Just take the L!

Mess at making one two-sentence comment qualifying as "upset."
This thread was open for over two weeks with barely any interest in the reviews. At the last minute, a sudden surge of Katy Perry fans showed up to give "Rise" 10/10 reviews and drag "Make Me..." (because, what, these reviews are a competition or something?). I'm not saying it was a conspiracy. It's just, you know, interesting.
Anyway, troll votes get thrown out of rates all the time. Perhaps they need to be thrown out of ATRL Metacritic too to keep the thread from devolving into a stan war in the future.
