Andy Audette decided that he wanted to show his appreciation for law enforcement, so he took a roll of blue painter’s tape and put a strip across the back of his Dodge truck. He shared the idea on his local Facebook page, and the idea quickly took off, prompting hundreds of people in the area to add blue tape to their cars. Project Blue Stripe now has a dedicated Facebook page where people can share their support for their local law enforcement officers.
This is disgusting, not the statement but the motive behind it.
Edit: And it's also assumed that police's lives matter. Whenever somebody murderers a police, they're tried and sentenced to death, rarely do they go free or get a light sentence.
I think he has the right to do this, but it's very interesting how those who are "blue lives matter" never have anything to say about police brutality.
TBH I think this should say police lives matter too because it's not fair on everyone else. It's like saying other people don't matter too and Latinos, blacks, whites, Muslims feel excluded. Don't we ALL matter? Just a thought.
Blue Lives Already Matter. They literally walk free after killing people. The risk of death come with the job. They're also being killed at a lower rate than the past.
Right?! What about Fire Fighter lives? And soldiers? And EMTs? ALL PUBLIC SAFETY LIVES MATTER! To not include them is inherently exclusionary and says that their lives aren't important. Terrible. Can we classify this group as a terrorist organization?
