& the fact that Vanessa is booking major studio movies versus the indie & TV movies Hilary seems to be doing shows that she's more relevant which was what I was getting at.
As for 'Sucker Punch', Emily & Jamie were both second choices but still I don't see how their casting makes a difference. Zack Snyder has referred to this project as his baby so I doubt he would cast them if he didn't think they were up for the challenge.
& LMAO @ Hilary being the Queen B for years. Hilary's reign as tween queen ended in 2005. Again ... living in the past.
Hilary doing a TV movie for ABC Family suggests to me that she wants to get her name out there again but she can't seem to land any major movie roles. As much as she says indie movies allow her to grow I'm sure she wouldn't pass up the chance to star in a major movie roll if the chance presented itself and she liked the script.
& I have respect for Hilary, I always have. But again, I'm just calling it how I see it.
And lastly, there are plenty of artists who haven't gone platinum but are still able to get a new record deal after they've departed from their previous label so I'm not worried

You
degraded her when you brought her up in the first place because of your being tired of people calling Baby V irrelevant. There was
no reason to bring her up when the discussion was mostly of riled up Ashley Tisdale fans having no clue. It's also funny to see how important relevance is to you. When your strip queen is only slightly higher than Hilary by choice.
Not living in the past. Did you even read my post? I'll requote it.

Being the Queen B for years gets you tired after a while & makes you want to lead a normal life.

My post was referring to her wanting to lead a normal life
now because she's tired of all the work she put into her career before when she WAS Queen B. And check your facts please, she was the teen queen till around early - mid 2006 when Hannah/Miley came around.
Her doing a TV movie is more evidence of her not caring to do a major motion picture in return for more control over her work. It's her third film that she's taken a part in executive producing. And yes I believe in part that she's just doing it to get her name back out there. She most likely understands now, the damage she caused to her career by focusing only on personal life for all of 2008 and half of 2009.
What you said also brings up a point "I'm sure she wouldn't pass up the chance to star in a major movie roll if the chance presented itself and she liked the script." And this is true. Ever thought maybe she hasn't found that role yet? She could easily have signed up to one of those major motion picture movies that had her playing the same role. Most likely she just hasn't come across that right script.
The thing about record labels signing people who've been dropped is that those people actually cared about their music.
