A few years ago me and my family moved into our current house and my room is right at the back of the house! It's a small room and was cosy enough for me to feel at home. A couple of months passed and I was in my room and ready to go to sleep so I took my headphones off and shut my eyes. But then, I felt something over me and on top of the bed and the bed started squeaking. I thought someone had crawled in through the window and I just kept still. The squeaking got unbearable and I started panicking, I was sure there was someone standing over me. I turned my phone on and turned the flash on but no one was there. I thought I was just imagining things so I calmed down. I put the duvet back over my face and went back to sleep. A couple of minutes passed and then suddenly I heard a banging come from underneath my bed and I just froze. I was sure I wasn't imagining it and I just felt scared to the bone. That was the first of the many times this type of incident happened.
I thought to myself maybe it was just me overreacting as I do have an anxiety disorder. However, after moving into my halls of residence I experienced no such thing as the people I've spoken to this about thought it was just my repressed fear of the dark.
