I demand respect and equality in return for the same thing. So im intolerant of bigots and their opinions...and I'm happy with that. there is a time and place for everything.

You are missing the nuance that is in statements where people are demanding tolerance.

Open-mindedness has its limits. That's why slavery isn't still generally accepted because it's unacceptable. It's perfectly ok to be closed off to some things.
