Why Millennials Are The Worst Generation To Ever Live
Quote:
Where is the generation that conquered the moon and space, where are the hard workers who went from Europe to the US with no money but a strong determination to succeed. Where is that spirit of being limitless, all powerful and able to do whatever we set our minds to that unlocked so many successes and achievements in the past?
We’re too absorbed with our selfies, Facebook statuses and tweets that we forgot what real life is. We live in our parents home, we wait on the government to give us money and food and we complain whenever things don’t work out as they ought to.
Where's that generation? Busy being crippled with debt from the baby boomers & entering the worst job economy in decades. Why do people write on us as if we exist in a vacuum? Something preceded these circumstances. Constructing an illusory dichotomy between caring memes & 'important ****' is ridiculous. Before selfies, it would've been comic books or soccer distracting us from 'real events'. People who don't care now wouldn't have cared 50 years ago & won't care 50 years from now and that has nothing to do with the internet, it's just how the apathy of our generation is expressed.
He seems to make quite a few contradictions and a lot of sweeping statements. I can't really give an opinion because I don't know what he is trying to say.
He's kind of right. Look at the amount of rubbish people are investing themselves into. Things like Pokemon Go, selfies and all these gimmicky stuff. Our generation is dumb.

Aren't millennials the most educated generation of all the recent ones as well?
Instead of uplifting millennials they keep on putting up articles about how we are the worst, how we are lazy, how we just suck at everything yet here they are on their desk whining about **** instead of putting their pen and paper to a bigger issue.
We need encouragement and all they do is tear us down. But like ColdFire said, we learned from the best.
People said the same about the last generation, and the generation before; etc. everyone always wants to point the finger at someone else and never take responsibility. They're the ones who raised the millennials - clearly something went wrong if your children have bad values? Me having a Facebook or Instagram does not equate to me being a bad/lazy/unmotivated/whatever person.
Another day, another one of these articles. Yawn, they never say anything new. One day the millennials will be in their 40s and complaining about whoever comes next. It's a never ending cycle.
All generation like that. People are lazy, self absorbed, ignorant, intolerant, hipocritical, etc. Not only millenials. It's just you can disappear with this problems in digital world these days without anyone noticing....
"news: the generation who enjoyed free higher education, affordable housing, guaranteed pensions and a thriving healthcare service call the younger generation 'lazy and entitled'"

not like past generations had it any better
I mean the racism years ago was even worse than it is now
Every generation thinks the next generation is awful in comparsion to the new one.
You can find literal quotes of people in the past complaining that young people are too consumed with books to do anything productive.
Quote:
In the 1790 book Memoirs of the Bloomsgrove Family, Reverend Enos Hitchcock wrote,
The free access which many young people have to romances, novels, and plays has poisoned the mind and corrupted the morals of many a promising youth; and prevented others from improving their minds in useful knowledge. Parents take care to feed their children with wholesome diet; and yet how unconcerned about the provision for the mind, whether they are furnished with salutary food, or with trash, chaff, or poison?
people need to get over their nostalgia already.
I mean hell my generation is already ******** on the next generation and how bad they are.
