Hillary should focus on the elderly more. So many votes, and you only need to pledge to raise pensions for them
I think the Republican party will not recovwr quickly from this election.. it's basically three parties. We've got:
- BUILD-A-WALL: focus on xenophobia
- religious right: most do not agree with blatant racism, yet they are very rightist
- socially somewhat liberal, fiscally conservative
The religious right and socially liberal can cooperate in one party quite well, but the anti-immigration part and all other parts are very different.
We will very likely see each part represented in republican primaries. The anti-immigration part will still win. Republican party is doomed, because anti-immigration can never win in a country with such a big non-white/migrant population and such a big anti-racist white population.
So basically a three-party system is required. Perhaps a far-right (Trump/Ted), centrist (McCain, Bush, perhaps Clinton) and leftist (Sanders, Greens, perhaps Clinton) is required for all divisions in US society to be represented. Maybe I'll be proven wrong in four years though.
Also, I'm scared too high poll numbers (secured win) could make less Clinton-supporters to actually vote. This could hurt her somewhat. In European countries the people who vote for Trump-look-a-likes are generally less inclined to vote however. Usually their poll numbers are higher, as more of them (low-income, no college, don't care that much about democracy) tend to stay home. Maybe the same happens to Trump.
Exciting elections either way. You know Russian media is constantly reporting on Trump in a positive manner? I want to see how they report on when Clinton wins in a LANDSLIDE. I want Clinton to have over 70% of delegates.
Also, perhaps Clinton could try Alaska? I expect many of them feel somewhat misrepresented. The Greens have been very popular there in the past. Perhaps Clinton could visit Alaska and secure all states with a coast
