Korean Gaines deserves NO sympathy and everyone in here siding with her is clearly deluded and warps ANY story regarding and African American and the police to their own disgusting narrative.
They called SWAT- who ARE the hostage negotiators
They attempted to negotiate with her for an extended period of time
She told them she was going to KILL them if they approached.
She had a warrant out for skipping her court date not just some traffic violations
The man in the house also had a warrant for assault
She was carrying a loaded shotgun with her 5 year old sitting with her
How anybody can defend this women is beyond me. If she was white every single person in here would be quick to call her out a crazy and say she had it coming. I honestly can't believe how many people here are so ignorant.

After doing some reading, I can't go to bat for this woman. And she really shouldn't be victimized. There comes a point, in 2016, when you know not to blatantly act a fool, especially when you HAVE broken the law. She had a warrant. There was NO reason for a standoff. She put her child at risk all the while brandishing a weapon. What logical reason was there for her to act this way?
The police did nothing wrong here. They had ACTIVE warrants, they were met with threats by a woman with a gun in her hand actively threatening to shoot. Their only "misstep" is that they were unable to ensure the child's safety before they shot.
I am FIRMLY #BlackLivesMatter - but this is not about that.

Exactly. Bitch acted like the law didn't apply to her for some wild reason. And the way she put her children in danger and scared the **** out of them MULTIPLE times is disgusting.
Poor kids. She pointed a shotgun at the police, what did she expect?

This is why the "there are good cops" argument doesn't hold water. The police will continue to be EVIL until they completely change the structure of their system and institution, dismantling it and its purpose to oppress the marginalized. Cops are murderers. Cops are kidnappers. Cops are rapists. Cops are thieves. The fact that you get a harsher punishment (the ONLY crime that conveniently is what they used to justify HUNTING Korryn down to her home with) for resisting arrest is absurd. The most marginalized are under attack by cops and Korryn is a death caused by cops trying to silence their targets.
I feel bad for her child but not for her. If there is police at your door, you don't point a shotgun at them.
I can't believe she put her child at risk like that. What was she thinking?
I'm sorry but she was literally asking for it. She was in the wrong, she was breaking a law, and the cops were following protocol. They were actually being very cordial with her through most of it, and she wasn't being compliant at all. She was literally refusing everything they said and told her to do (like showing her ID) despite none if it being serious. They weren't telling her or asking her to do anything that isn't protocol.
