To repeat, I said that we can't erase standardized testing because some people don't do well with them, and ignore the portion of our students who are literally the opposite and work better with testing.

but ..... never mind
anyway the current system (test focused) isn't producing the retention rate nor the on-track scholars that this country needs and is capable of producing , and that's why we literally get schooled by so many other countries in terms of education
and honestly , ya it would require more work on the part of teachers, but that would probably end up helping them out .... I've talked with quite a few teachers (previous mentors, friends, my own father) about their satisfaction with the American public school system and one of their biggest issues is that they feel siphoned by the restrictions that our school system imposes ...
so in my mind , having the teachers
really focus on the students as individuals to determine the best course of action as far as how they need to be assessed , whether it be tests, essays, projects, speeches or what the hell ever would not only mix up the dynamic for them but allow students to succeed in ways that are most tailored to them
ya that's ....... a lot, i know, but i mean something's gotta change .... i personally would just like to see the focus shift from a test-driven environment that doesn't seem to be producing the best results
