But the song itself is quite upbeat and is an empowering anthem, not very dark.
Why the songs in the OP are dark:
-- E.T.: Dark electronic hip hop beat, darker imagery in music video, describes a supernatural love, references injections, poison, abduction etc.
-- Wide Awake: Slower tempo, darker imagery in music video, references depression and falling from positivity, being broken etc.
-- Dark Horse: Dark trap hip hop beat, talks about a woman with a very dark side who may appear sweet on the outside but can turn evil if done wrong by (references bipolar disorder, betrayal, over-possessiveness etc.)
-- Rise: Dark experimental electronic trap beat, Björk-influenced dark melody, references many negative and dark subjects such as death, failure, doubt and lack of faith from others, madness and chaos etc.
A "dark" song is more than just having one loose relation to a single dark theme (divorce) imo. It has to sound, feel, read dark.
