Less so these days, but in high school I was incredibly jealous of how straight couples could easily hug, kiss and be openly affectionate while meanwhile I was closeted, depressed, alone and really struggled to open up to my parents. The culture of "coming out" is so awful - as if you tell your friends and family and suddenly you're done, not slowly divulging yourself throughout workplaces your entire career hoping the manager isn't some hyper homophobe or whatever.

I would love "gay" to be as normalised as "straight." I don't want the attention, I just want to feel comfortable being myself.

When i was younger, yes. It is still annoying at times, mainly with representation, opportunity and equality, but i live life better than some LGBTQ in other countries - so i myself am privileged.

I think the thing that p*sses me off the most about straights is how they can say whatever they want about guys, etc... And you, when you say something it's instantly mistaken, or you imply something..

I'm trans so I have a slightly different experience (I mainly identify as Queer but I've mostly been intimate with men thus far), but I'd imagine some Gay/Queer folks would feel in a similiar way in that I don't feel angry towards Cis people (I did at first but I got over it because I've got a life to live) but I feel angry at the different ways in which society treats us. Basically, hate the game don't hate the player.

OT: You cannot be mad at the 90% of people who did not choose to be straight (most people would choose if straight if they could though, I'd assume), but you can be mad at the people perpetuating the "heterosexual privilege" by discriminating against LGBTQIA+ people.

You only have two belief systems - science or religion. Unless you're one to believe that Adam and Eve once existed, the human evolution from the deepest parts of Africa required reproduction for us to later colonise and become the culturally diverse seven billion people now living on the planet.
