This is because poc are rarely given a chance to lead a blockbuster film in a role that is actually relatable to the majority of the world. If they're colored, they're usually only in the film to play off of their respective race's stereotypes. White actors are given the chance to play a wide variety of roles that don't place them into racial boxes. That's why more people relate to them. Audiences are rarely given a chance to even try to relate to a colored character on the big screen.
