That's a great way to kick it off - we have a few of those at my school but I never got involved. Hope it's fun for you!

After doing one year in college already, I realize the work I did in high school doesn't compare. In college, you have to be on top of your things because everything honestly counts and it kinds forces you to really manage your time. All those times in high school complaining about essays and here I am whipping them out because I know I always have to pull through - and have always succeeded.

Honestly I have to disagree, it all depends on your major and your courses.

I haven't done a tenth the work in college that I did in my junior year of high school alone, and I suspect it's because business courses are rather easily and come naturally to me anyway.

It's all in the experience. However, it's good that yours is challenging you more because I think you'll probably get a lot more out of it for that, you know? What's your field of study?

What's also really cool is that most people don't know each other so popularity literally does not exist. Depends on the environment of course, but people probably won't judge you harshly nor care what you wear.

I just started my second year as well so I can relate.
First year is the 'year of just realizing things ya'know'

You're totally right. People will judge no matter freaking what.
And the last part is what I'm excited the most, I really really want to meet more people. In my job everyone is so "professional" that is really difficult (and I really don't care anyway) to establish a friendship with any of them. So the only thing I can do in weekdays to meet new people is going in there. Hopefully they are cool as my friend says so I don't get disappointed.

Ah yes that's true - I was mainly talking about my own experience but of course all majors require different work loads.

Oh and I'm doing psychology.

my major is probably one of the "easier" majors, so i don't worry about the class work to much, but i'll still do everything i would normally do

i know science will be the END of me, so idk how that will work when it happens, but oh well
