I think people are more excited than London. Lets not forget the bus crashing into the cyclist and stuff like that that happened there. Any Olympics is going to have it's faults, but an Olympic torch going out is literally the least important thing so I'm glad it's just this for the most part.

Millions are living in poverty in Brazil. Millions see the government as corrupt. There is mass inequality. The World Cup cost the country billions - people weren't happy. Its happening again on a bigger scale two years later. 3 million people protested in March (biggest protest ever), there is the threat of zika - there is mass inequality of wealth in Brazil... ???
The water is dirty where the athletes are meant to swim. There are doubts about the infrastructure. The Olympic Village has a few problems still. Thousands are tickets are still not sold, and the ones that are, a lot are to foreign people.
People in London were extremely happy and hyped - please look at the crowds and concerts (
http://www.tylerrix.info/uploads/3/1...01140_orig.jpg) leading up to it. Look at the ticket sales, look at the way celebrities got involved... don't compare the current situation in Brazil to a bus crash...
