My boyfriend of four months does this. Every time he chews food, he makes an infuriating noise. His mouth goes wide open and makes a disgusting, unbearable and loud noise. At first, I was able to tolerate it. He's my boyfriend, so hey, I figured I'll give him some slack. But as time passes, my tolerance for it gets thinner and now I'm at the tipping point. Whenever he chews like that, which is always, I feel anger, anxiety, frustrated...

He was chewing chips just then and it was so bad so I left the room. Last night, eating dinner, I kept looking off into the distance trying to distract myself from the gruesome noise. I really like my boyfriend, but I cannot handle the noise anymore.

I understand that it is poor manners to tell someone off on their poor manners in itself. It's not my job to tell him how to behave. It's probably something he has always done and was taught is okay growing up. But I am running out of tolerance. Telling him how I feel over something like this t might damage our relationship.

YES. I was enjoying my meal @ Joanne Trattoria when Elton John decides to pull up a chair beside me and grab a breadstick from my pregnant waterbug soup! He was trying to flirt and.... you know... talk dirty to me but all I could focus on were his chops chowing down on that breadstick like a pregnant heifer!!!!!! I can't stand bad manners. It's safe to say that I didn't end up as another one of his victims on the greasy bathroom floor of Joanne's. Disha, however, wandered off into the bathroom with him.
