Guys have hit on me in real life out of the random blue based on seeing me in the app.
Grindr or an app isn't a substitute for real life.
When it comes to sexual attraction the club is actually a more efficient use of time.

In person is always the best way to meet people. Grindr is a waste of time. It's amazing how many guys say they want whatever but making plans with them is like pulling teeth. The club scene is okay as long as you moderate your time there.
I don't mind if a guy I'm chatting or dancing with gets frisky. But the nerve of strangers to reach in someone's pants and literally touch your junk is appalling. Like ask first. But it's not about touching a penis, it's about dominance or a sick perversion.

My advice to anyone who has yet to go to a club would be to not go alone. Don't get wasted drunk without a friend who's going to stay sober or semi-sober. And remember, cameras are everywhere. Not just cellphones but security cameras and hidden cameras. So watch what you do. It's one thing to take your shirt off on the dance floor but it's another to have your privates exposed. Not that it happens often but sometimes men get really messed up and pants come off. I've seen it 3 times plus one time when a guy was pantsed by another. He was photographed.
Don't let a moment of fun turn into a permanent reminder of youthful stupidity. If you're going to live in the same area, odds are you're going to know the same gays for years. And never, not for a second, think that the guy you slept with 4 years ago won't know the guy you're really into today. Photos are kept and stories are told.
And that concludes my lecture
