Or care about economic issues and financial issues more than social issues and happen to side with the GOP's position on them
There are plenty of people who identify as conservatives who want nothing to do with the terrible social rhetoric that people like Pence and Cruz promote. Unfortunately, those people are the loudest and cover up all the moderate conservatives and the libertarian conservatives.
I understand that, and previous elections I've been able to give Republicans the benefit of the doubt, but the RNC was just offensively embarrassing.
