receipts are very flawed since the three original movies came out in 77-83, when tick prices were way lower and there were less people + China didn't exist as a market then.
d; I'm well aware that this thread has been done several times before as I googled it before I made it. When I saw that Star Wars won past polls I wanted to see if it was still that way (or if the HP hype has brought out a bias in some people).
I think internationally Harry Potter does better (which you could blame on how much easier it's become to spread hype globally since SW's release) - but I think domestically in the US, Star Wars has it beat.
like the others said, everyone post 20 years old it's Star Wars, but even for melenials it'll surpass Harry Potter. I mean the force awakens had wayyyyyyyyyyyy more impact than ANY Harry Potter movie. And there's hardly any hype for this new movie so ya star wars
