Tyra Banks talks Rita Ora hosting ANTM!

"Rita and I spoke today. I love her. She was like, 'Tyra, I don't want to fill your shoes, I want to create my own shoes.' So I was like, 'I got you boo,'" Tyra explained in an interview on Wednesday. Tyra continued, "She was like, 'I just want some advice and some help.' So I'm going to have a session with her in person. I'm going to give her the ins and the outs, but make it you. Do you. She's gotta make it hers."
This does not mean that there won't be any Tyra on the new America's Next Top Model. She all but confirmed that she will appear at least once on the new version of the show. ""I might dip [in]. There will be a couple dips. Not a lot of dips," Tyra explains. "It's just like, 'Pow! What's up?' And then, 'OK, I'm out!'"

Cant believe Tyra isnt hosting ANTM anymore, she was making the show literally, the best part of the show. I know I wont like it now... how did they even pick that host!?

I will be surprised if the show doesn't end up losing ratings. Most Americans don't even know who Rita is.

Because apparently someone thinks she has any whiff of relevance in the US. I can't tell you a single person I know here who cares about her.

It just doesn't make sense. What advice can she give about being a model? Its more than just taking a photograph, although Tyra is overrated and was a one-hit-wonder high fashion model, she did have experience in the fashion capitals, shooting campaigns, going to castings, dealing with racism, feuds etc etc. What inspiring or productive advice will Rita give since she has no experience at being a model??
This show has always been trash, but at least with Tyra it made some sense.

This is so wrong. Even if I disregard how much I dislike Rita, it just doesn't seem right that someone like her should be handed the reins of the show. At least they could have come up with someone who is as iconic and popular as Tyra.

It just doesn't work without Tyra. Her charisma, her slogans, her demure, her self-absorption, the way she blinks and glances back and forth between the models in the bottom 2 before she lowers her head to pulls out last photo in her hand

It's impossible to give advice on how to have a career in the US, when you don't have a career here of your own.

Rita hosting a flop show really has a lot of haters fuming.A part of me wants the show to flop so that Rita faces her music,but another part of me wants it to succeed just for the pleasure of seeing the haters squirm and scramble to find excuses to undermine Rita's contributions to the success of the show

Rita has a lot of experience in the fashion world tho.Correct me if am wrong,I doubt most model scouts are models or ex models,but at the end of the day they still know what to look for in a model,it's like sports most of the best coaches either sucked as players or never played the game.
I just wish people will just wait for the show to air before passing judgment on Rita's capabilities as a host

Idg why Rita is doing this at all. Only thing she's gonna get from this is being more known in the US but it's not a good thing if they hate you bc tyra on antm is untouchable. People have already made their mind to hate, whether Rita is actually a good host or not.

It's difficult for someone who's unknown to host a well-known television show. She's nowhere even close to Tyra in terms of celebrity.
She has about as much of a music career as a modeling career here, so I figured they were relatable.
