You're forgetting how massive Hotline Bling was. I compare it to Wrecking Ball's success in terms of viral, and the latter won over Bey in 2014. Also, many views don't necessarily assure a VOTY nod, see Bieber's Baby or Katy Perry's Dark Horse/Roar. WFH can easily get Pop Video, though.
