The cut from sale that goes to the artist and the song crafters compared to labels is bigger than the cuts they get from streaming. Labels pocket more in both cases but in case of streaming songwriters and artists are left with bread crumbs while with sales they at least got a full bite

It's disgusting to rate the importance of something purely by how much money it makes. Specially when the last thing any of these 3 lack is more millions.

There are thousands upon thousands of artists that can't tour but still make decent music and what about the songwriters and producers. I mean Luke and Max can manage but the lesser known ones? I don't think so

Yes. Everyone artist with some clout would get on that and then the freemium tier would lose its purpose.

Honestly I don't see why indie artists can't tour (I doubt there are that many anyway), like there are thoudands of festivals etc.

Music industry is a business not a charity. The music has value and should not be given away for free as it is a product of hard work. The Freemium package is the enemy not the premium one

Sis, getting rid of the freemium tier would be stupid, it was the reason streaming got popular in the first place. People would look somewhere else to listen music.
