Anyone here looking for a job at the moment?

I am. I just had an interview last week with a company I really wanted to work for but I was rejected .

They went with someone with more experience and career achievements (even though the position was fairly basic, but whatever I'm trying not to be bitter).

Now I have to face back into filling online applications and I want to scream!

Feel free to vent your frustrations or maybe provide some job searching tips!

I got an over the phone interview with Disneyland and totally went blank and ****ed it up I'm just SO awkward at job interviews, but I make the best employee. It's not fair.

I also got an interview with Target and I showed up to the wrong Target so I was 20 minutes late. The interview wasn't bad but they denied me I didn't even want to work there, LOL

I'm sorry to hear about your rejections man. I used to be so bad at interviews, but the more you do, the better you get. I know it's a cliche but it's actually true.

I think interviews are skewed in favour of more outgoing people too, which is a shame really because more introverted people have a lot to offer as well.

Honestly, I think it depends on how I'm doing that day in terms of awkwardness. Some days are worse than others, some days my train of thought/communication is fantastic. I just have to get lucky I guess

Hmm I'm in the same boat!

I'm a part-time (obviously) tutor and looking for a more secure, non-precarious job I tried a sales job last week -- it wasn't for me. It was a bit too intense. I want to work in retail though. On-the-side jobs like these are good for me, as I'll be a full-time student in September. I need the money. A job can help me find the money I've applied at Metro, Food Basics, EB Games, Hudson Bay... Hopefully they contact me back. I think at least one will

It can be an arduous process, but I like to think as an adventure or shopping. I like both of them, so they are heartwarming for me. The shopping analogy is good because it's about selecting what I like, who I like, how I like...It's like a suit: it either fits me or it doesn't. Sometimes it both fits and un-fits me. My point: Job hunting can be a mixed bag. I like to think of the joy that arises from it, and the pleasures that are to come

i am leaving my current job at Krispy Kreme for college
and i liked it, but i almost quit like 10 times due to random things

i don't think i am going to get a job in college at least for the first semester just so i can adapt to college and not over extend myself

Im stressing out about finding a job overseeas. Most people either have degrees in engineering or they work in their home country for a while being looking for jobs abroad but I am an international relations major and i dont want to remain in the country for another year.

Looking for jobs in Taiwan, Japan, and Vietnam is stressful

Oooh, I thought they baked them every day. Donuts frim the store are good too. But I think I like Timmy's better Uuughhh, their Vanilla Dips are everything. With the sprinkles and nature-vanilla bun!!!
