This "hoax" has damaged Taylor Swift's brand pretty bad. The point of the whole expose causing this drama, is to prove to us how far Taylor will go and deceive others in order to maintain her clean image of the sweetest girl in America.
Taylor and her team manipulate her image. She would have never accepted to be a part of this "hoax". It's not surprising at all. It's pretty obvious she has been overly protective of her image her whole career.
