It doesn't matter, people read the headlines and that's it. If Trump tells the voters that Crooked Hillary and the DNC chair conspired together to make her win the candidacy and that said DNC chair is then on her campaign (whether or not that's the full truth), people are going to believe it. If they actually cared enough to look up facts after debates etc, then Hillary's numbers would've been worse in the Democratic Primary because she'd be exposed as a liar.
Alas, people don't look things up. They take things at face value. Future President Trump is going to have a field day with this.
Plus, this makes her look hella shady. We have email leaks that suggest that DWS and the DNC was working against the Sanders campaign and with the Hillary campaign, and Hillary hiring DWS - no matter how insignificant the position - could be seen as paying a debt.
