The only reason this game is hyped up is because people in their late 20's - early 30's are playing it and that's what we grew up on. Classic Pokemon. The newer Pokemon are harder to memorize and very easily forgettable. I can name every Pokemon in the first 150. After that I can't. There is too many weird ones and their names are nothing memorable.
If they incorporate the newer generation, I feel like their going to lose a lot of players. And how can an app on your phone hold that much data to incorporate over 700 Pokemon?!

Lol, ppl will lose interest regardless, especially when they hit a brick wall in terms of leveling (25-30ish) and catch the 142 (?) available pokés. Adding new generations will extend the lifespan of this game (to whatever degree is possible, given a decline is inevitable once the cool/fad factor fades), and genwunners are not required to play
And most ppl can't even name the original 150

I can't count how many times I've heard "omg I just caught the cute dragon thingy!" or misnaming of pokémon, etc.
