Bernie never restrained the more inflammatory rhetoric from his surrogates. Now that the campaign is over he can just speak for himself, which has generally been better for him.
His fame-hungry former surrogates are still at it though (see: Jeff Weaver and Nina Turner).

A group of Bernie delegates is trying to get 300 signatures (no more than 50 from any one state) to force a vote on a Kaine alternative.
These people just need to leave the Demoocratic Party and go ahead and vote for wackjob PTA Chair anti-vaxxer Stein. They are the literal worst.
A cheering crowd of friends and supporters greeted Sen. Tim Kaine late Saturday as he returned to his North Richmond home and the neighborhood that has sustained him from local office to a chance to be vice president.
