How was she misunderstood though? She CLEARLY said a hashtag doesn't save lives when they do make a difference. And I mean, it's not like she hasn't spent her whole career tweeting #KillEmWithKindness and other corny hashtags, right? As a latina celebrity, tweeting #BlackLivesMatter (or staying mute) was not that hard.

And where's the apology? Saying "I get angry and say things I don't mean" is definitely not apologizing.

Just like your fave was "just a young boy, let him breathe!11" when he did that racist joke, Selena is just a girl that was mad at people coming at her and tweeted something that she shouldn't. Both are humans.

Who are you even to judge? Get off your high horse. I don't see anyone being a martyr for every damn cause in the globe and you shouldn't demonize Selena for giving her opinion when I know a lot of people, black included, that resonate with what she tweeted; actions speak louder than words. Imo she just doesn't like touring and she is not so passionate about music.
So she memorized her tour with the stage props, outfits, choreo, in the way that you prepare yourself for a theatrical show
Now for the international part of the tour they had to get rid of stage props, change outfits, interlude videos so she is feeling like it is not the same and being overdramatic like always.
Another thing I think that she has absorbed part of the twitter criticism about lack of social work on her part and this is making her reflect
Anyway Selena is still very little-girl-like and I think that questioning yourself is a great way to grow up

not people jumping into conclusions, she's just feeling bad about something and wanted to let it out, we don't know exactly but I hope she's okay, people are doing too much on her lately over a wrong worded tweet.

She didn't disregard anything, she basically meant posting a hashtag is pointless if you won't do anything more (like she apparently does/did since she said we didn't know what she's done behind the scenes or something in those lines). I agree with her, better do something that's not talked about but DO it than post a hashtag behind your PC screen and do NOTHING.

Either way, I really hope she gets better

Glad she's finally feeling the heat from her disgusting, insensitive comments. I love ha but she needs to break it off with Taylor and get herself together quick. I hope she gets better soon, but I can't lie and say I feel bad tbh. The backlash is deserved.

And how has BLM helped minimize the amount of black lives lost to police? The only time people tweet black lives matter is after someone is shot and killed so how does tweeting a hashtag compare to signing an official document to end gun violence (aka something selena has done)

all you do is sit on your ass and bitch on the internet while criticizing people for what they choose to do and not do. A hashtag may bring awareness to an issue but does it fix anything? Did #jesuischarlie or #prayforfrance solve terrorism in that country? Or how about #prayforlebanon or maybe #prayfororlando?

Hashtags dont save lives, they are simply a a way to show you "care" about an issue after something tragic has happened and then a week later are forgotten.

You know what solves issues and actually helps? Signing petitions to get gun violence taken seriously. Donating proceeds from your own events to help the funeral cost of those lives lost. Not tweeting a ****ing hashtag, bitching on the internet, attacking people on social media ect

and i love the "staying mute was not that hard" comment but that bitch on twitter went out of his way to harass her about what she has done for the movement when she was talking about a totally separate event.

I would rather have selena do **** behind the scenes to help than to have her post a hashtag for brownie points and then never do anything else
