I’m really glad that Obama is reaching out to the Muslim world, and I know Muslims living in America and Europe want their way of life to be assimilated more. But the Western world needs to make it clear: some things about our culture are not negotiable... one of them is freedom of speech: not negotiable. Separation of church and state: not negotiable. Women are allowed to work here and you can’t beat them: not negotiable. This is how we roll, and this is why our system is better. And if you don't get that, and you still wanna kill someone over a stupid cartoon... please make it Garfield.
Yes. This is reasonable. We're just emerging out of fundamental Christian values with the progression of gay rights. We don't need to be set back by another Abrahamic religion. This is something that can directly be addressed by Muslim people if they have any issues with it. It opens up a dialogue.
I just hate the counterproductive "all Muslims are latent terrorists" narrative. It's lazy thinking for the uneducated. An created an "us vs them" dichotomy.

Most of them - now proven to be largely women and children - have just come from a war zone. One of the least important aspects of them migrating is to settle and hope the war, injustice and corruption they just escaped will follow them.

Is that what's slowly happening? Refugees will keep flocking to Europe. Why not be clear from the start before their numbers get bigger? Muslims already protest and ask for some laws to change, you're British, righ? You're supposed to know what I'm talking about.
