I wonder the same thing, too. Unfortunately, I feel like some of them just put out fake messages of termination in order to appease the masses justifiably flooding their Twitter.

You have no Freedom of Speech on the Internet. It only applies in preventing the government from persecuting you for free speech.

Twitter is a private company. Anything goes. Plus most companies WILL fire you if you do or say something on any platform including social media that hurts their business. (This includes bigoted remarks towards minorities).

I agree that she should be able to say whatever she wants on a public platform, but she should also know that employers aren't obligated to put up with this **** and can terminate her for it. Freedom of speech goes both ways.

I wouldn't understand anyone who feels sorry for such a person. Good riddance.

Twitter is a privately owned entity (despite being a public platform). Freedom of speech DOES NOT apply there.

It only shields you from government prosecution.
