I've finished BB17 as a season, in principle. I haven't seen the final episodes (JMac's eviction, Vanessa losing final HOH, Steve winning (GREAT MOVE) etc) but i know what happens in principle so I don't need to see it. I prefer to watch the process, and see the interactions of the HGs and how they play the game and whatnot. Probably a personal thing actually, but I just prefer the process and how the pieces came together rather than the end result.
So, i have to say i loved Vanessa's game. She was just a slitering snake, even when the HGs were wise to her and tried to stop it, they literally never stood a chance. I'm not sure if a bit of rigging was done by DaGrod but still, Vanessa played a great game. Aggressive, in your face game which actually allowed her to move along the game because HGs would focus on someone else before her, and no-one ever came close to really evicting her.
Which makes the r/ship of Steve and Vanessa so great. I dont even think Vanessa cared about winning towards the end, I think she took the task of seeing just how far her manipulations could go and how powerful she really was. Like, she is a Poker Player. She has enough money to her name. Big Brother for her was actually a learning curve. But Steve. He played a really good game. Floating at the start, then coming thru with that #Ether. What a legend. I feel he studied Dan the GOAT's game to a T; both played very similar games but whereas Dan used chaos as his ally, Steve used his vulnerability/youth to his advantage.
J-Mac and his r/ship with Queen was so much fun. He was still ready to **** with her till the end which is so refreshing. Its not often an actual rivalry forms in the House due to one of them being booted out early before it actually blossoms so i'm glad we had the opportunity to watch an awesome duel between two great minds. J-Mac was Vanessa's only real rival in that house, in terms of gameplay. As great a game as everyone else played (and they really did, they weren't afraid of doing something big), J-Mac was the only one Vanessa really feared.
I really hope we get a duel again between the pair in a future All-Stars (hopefully next year). So. I would give the season a grade of 9. Great cast, intelligent gameplay and so much house-flips. It was such a fun season to watch. Only one that tops it is BB10 because the GOAT.
