When I first heard the song, it reminded me lyrically of Beyoncé, especially the butter line. Jessica really seems to be inspired by both Beyoncé and Rihanna. The video reminds me of Justin Bieber's Sorry video to some extend in the dance scenes. But I agree, she is setting herself up for loads of cultural appropriation claims. I kinda applause her for creating an IDGAF attitude these last years. But this is a bridge too far. She need to find a way to repair this. She needs to push a toe over the line, this video basically was a carcrash over this so-called line, if you get what I mean.

I like the video and I can not judge, because I am white myself. But the last years people have been called out for less. So when this would go viral or noticed, I could sadly see her getting loads of cultural appropriation backlash. Like iamluisfelipe said, if Iggy would have done this exact video for let's say Team, she would have been dragged left, right and centre online.

But let's hope Jessica doesn't get too much trouble with this

Exactly my thought. I was concerned about her image but people will always take you as the hater if you dont agree with everything, right?

I'm actually glad the video is doing good and no one is dragging her. But it was a risky video.

I had no idea about the Hopsin collab, I'm excited about that! And great to know Rico Love is doing some tracks. The "I Say Yes" track features him btw.

Love the song but let's hope that the video dies before her shot at solo success does.
