He supports TPP and wants to deregulate banks. Clinton is saying she's against those things but picks him anyways. She just killed her credibility with progressives. And trust me, it will hurt her, especially as the party becomes more liberal and especially as the political climate is anti-establishment. Obama knew you had to energize the base and that's what helped him win.
Clinton actually thinks she's going to win by ignoring the base and trying to court dismayed republicans (who like Trump's message but are weary of him). A pro TPP, pro-bank VP candidate just killed any credibility she had left with that huge voting block who voted for Trump and Bernie.
Their populist message got 27 million votes in the primary. 27 million people. They are not some small fringe portion of the country.
