At least if Resi 7 is good one of the big Survival Horror franchises will have, well, survived. Even Fatal Frame 5 was a flop

Yes. It's so sad. I've just get into the series lately but the games were amazing despite their old ages

Silent Hill will more than likely make a comeback, Konami is over as a company and have completely lost their way however.

But the games have been great, despite Downpour being pretty rough. Homecoming was actually decent, but 3 and 4 are the best. I'm hoping for a AAA return and another film.

Hopefully Microsoft or Sony can buy it from them, most likely Microsoft considering the high price its selling for.

Every single franchise they own is a pachinko machine now. Their market share has been increasing since then, so is highly unlikely for them to drop them, sell them or return to console/PC games

Well one of the directors recently stated that a revival for Metal Gear is already on the way for console, and that they are looking at Silent Hill right now. They said fans are looking too much into the Pachinko machines.
